Gas / Gas Heat exchangers

High temperature Heat exchanger

Our high-temperature heat exchangers can be used up to 1000°C . They can handle gas volume flows of 100 to 200,000 Nm³/h. Their high thermal efficiency and corrosion resistance make our heat exchangers a sustainable investment.

Due to a wedge-shaped inflow geometry, we achieve low contamination of the pockets and low pressure losses. Easy accessibility for cleaning and inspection work is guaranteed despite the compact design.

We offer the right solutions when it comes to heat recovery from exhaust gases and exhaust air. Do not hesitate to ask us for a solution concept!

Application areas

  • Use with gas temperatures that are too high for process heat exchangers off the shelf
  • Hot gases are corrosive or tend to form condensation
  • Heat recovery / process optimisation

Properties high temperature heat exchanger

  • Can be heated up and cooled down quickly
  • High thermal efficiency achievable
  • Geometry and materials are selected in an application-optimised manner
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Low contamination tendency thanks to the wedge-shaped inflow geometry of the Heat exchanger pockets
  • Easy accessibility for cleaning and inspection
  • Low pressure losses
  • Compact horizontal design
  • Various options for heat recovery (Thermoil, hot water,
Steam) can be installed in the corresponding temperature window

Our heat exchangers have been used in thermal plants for years and have well proven as:

  • Process heat exchanger for drying processes with closed loop. (e.g. indirect generation of process heat for drum dryers).
  • Indirect gas heaters for pollutant-free drying gases (e.g. drying food with oil firing)
  • Use in exhaust air purification systems such as thermal, catalytic and reactive oxidizers
  • Waste gases from melting furnaces which are used to preheat the combustion air for the burner.
  • Exhaust gases from drying ovens, these are used to preheat the fresh air of the dryers.
  • Exhaust gases from spray dryers which in turn are used to preheat the drying air.

Maximum heat transfer with minimum pressure loss …

With a high-temperature heat recovery system from Allenspach AG, you recover valuable energy from hot exhaust gases as well as the heated process air, which is otherwise discharged unused into the atmosphere.
